Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme
What is the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme?
The Child Dental Benefit Scheme (which commenced 1 January 2014) allows eligible children to receive Medicare-funded dental care for a range of of basic dental services.
Children (between 2 - 17 years old) whose families receive Family Tax Benefit Part A may be eligible for up to $1000 worth of Medicare-funded dental treatment over a two-year period.
How do I claim from this scheme for my child?
YOUR DENTAL CARE TEAM believes that is is very important to encourage good dental health and awareness of children. As a result, we are happy to say that YOUR DENTAL CARE TEAM is able to bulk bill for dental services that come under the scheme.
If you wish for your child to use the scheme, you will need to:
-
Call 132 011 to confirm your child's eligibility for the scheme
-
Call 8756 5740 or BOOK ONLINE to make an appointment with YOUR DENTAL CARE TEAM. Please let our Front Desk know at the time of booking that your child is eligible and will be claiming under the scheme. Our staff will also need to take down your Medicare card number.
-
On the day of your child's appointment, you will need to sign a consent form from Medicare for the scheme before any treatment.
